We want to do everything we can to keep your information safe when you are banking online. That’s why we have implemented a powerful new security feature within our Online Banking system. All you have to do to activate it is follow a few simple steps the next time you log in to Online Banking.

Here’s how it works...

  1. When you first log in to Online Banking, you will be asked to select a random image and personal phrase after you enter your current user id and password. You will then be instructed to remember the image and personal phrase you select.
  2. Next, you will be asked a series of random questions. After answering the questions, the system will issue you a secure cookie that will be stored on your computer's hard drive.

What happens the next time I log in to Online Banking?

For subsequent log ins, you will enter your user id first and then be directed to a page where you will see your personalized image and pass phrase. You will be notified not to proceed if the image and pass phrase presented are not your own. This step validates that you are securely on our site for Online Banking. If the image and pass phrase are correct, you will enter your password. If our Online Banking system then detects the presence of the secure cookie on your hard drive, it will allow you to access Online Banking.

If the secure cookie is not detected, for example if you are logging in from a different computer, the server will prompt you to answer some of the random questions that you answered during your initial sign-on.
